Many customers will find that when choosing a dock leveler, it has the distinction of I-beam or C-beam. The following teaches you how to distinguish and choose.
C-shaped steel is shaped like C, so it is named after it.
There are more hemmings on the outside of C, so the bearing capacity is stronger;
the shape of I-beam is like the Chinese "工”, so it is named.
C-beam is generally used for 8 tons, and I-beam is used for 10 tons.
If you want to support a heavier load, a horizontal bar will be added in the middle of the I-beam to increase the load.
